Early Career – Building at the Crossroads of Entrepreneurship and Media

I’ve always gravitated toward building businesses where media, technology, and entrepreneurship intersect. In my early years, I launched and operated ventures ranging from a family business to a restaurant, experiences that taught me how to build and sustain organizations from the ground up. At the same time, I gained firsthand perspective in the media industry through roles at McGraw Hill Publishing and NBCUniversal, developing a deep appreciation for the value of content and the systems that power its distribution.

2014 – A Turning Point into Technology

In 2014, I made a career-defining pivot by joining Shutterstock to help grow its newly launched API Product business. What began as a small, two-person initiative quickly became a transformative opportunity to reimagine the company’s future.

Over the next eight years, I scaled Shutterstock’s API business into a global operation of 75 people, driving partnerships that fundamentally changed how the company was perceived in the market. By launching first-of-its-kind API integrations with Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Wix, we repositioned Shutterstock from a content provider into a technology company with product-led revenue streams.

The real breakthrough came with data licensing partnerships. Negotiating deals with OpenAI, Nvidia, Amazon, and Google not only created a multi-million-dollar recurring revenue business but also laid the groundwork for how the industry thinks about licensing, pricing, and protecting data in the AI era. That experience became a blueprint for others in the space and established me as one of the early leaders in defining responsible AI commercialization strategy.

How My Unique Skill-set Helps My Clients

  •  I translate between executives and engineers — ensuring technical teams understand business priorities, and leadership sees the real-world value of technical solutions. For clients, this also means I can confidently sell product capabilities to their own technical stakeholders, building trust and accelerating adoption.

  • I help companies move forward even when there’s no blueprint — uncovering new revenue and/or value exchange opportunities, designing business models, and building licensing frameworks for products and markets that don’t yet exist.

  • I’ve scaled global teams of product sellers and partnership leaders, giving clients access to proven frameworks for hiring, training, and enabling high-performing teams that drive growth.

  • I work directly with executives to align product innovation with business strategy — managing expectations, shaping decisions, and ensuring leadership has clarity and confidence in complex, fast-moving markets.

  • My clients benefit not only from my expertise but also from my network. I connect them directly with industry decision-makers, partners, and influencers — helping accelerate opportunities that would otherwise take years to unlock.
